110th Gozo Shioda Festival in Japan!

Hosted by the Gozo Shioda Aikido Federation

• All the classes will be led by Masahiro Shioda with the support of renowned senior instructors,  including Uchideshi of Gozo Shioda. Including Tsutomu Chida, Tsuneo Ando, Jaques Payet, Susumo Chino, Michiharu Mori, plus additional instructors announced soon!

• Special Dan grading examinations.

• Demonstrations by instructors, groups and Dojos.

Special Guests

• Shioda Family including Yasuhisa Shioda, Third Son of Gozo Shioda.

• Famous martial artists from Japan and International.

• Celebrities related to Gozo Shioda, and important politicians supporting this event.

• Including: Aiko Inoue, Roland Thompson, Takayuki Oyamada, Takehiko Sonoda, Takashima Saburo, Akito Funayma, Jim Dawes, Romeo Ballares, Francis Angeles, Jon Marshall, Kunio Yasue, Akira Maeda, Makoto Saegusa.

Day 0: Tuesday Sept 16 Optional International Arrival Day Yokohama (Optional)

• International travelers make their own way to the hotel near Yokohama Station.

  • Accommodation Included at Chisun Hotel Yokohama Isezakicho (Optional).

• Meals and travel not included.

Day 1 Wednesday Sept 17th : Memorial Bus Excursion

• Morning Bus Departure to Gozo Shioda Grave visit Tokorozawa Memorial Park in Saitama.

• Bus travel to Zen at Engaku-ji Temple in Kamakura.

• Bus travel to Hotel in Yokohama , early evening arrival.

• Meals not included.

• Accommodation at Chisun Hotel Yokohama Isezakicho (Optional).

Day 2 Thursday Sept 18th : 4 Classes & Welcome Party in Yokohama

• 4 Classes, Yokohama Budokan from morning to afternoon.

• Welcome party in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse food/drink included.

• Extra fee JYP 12,000 for non-training/seminar party guests.

• Other meals not included.

Day 3 Friday Sept 19th : 3 Classes & Dan Grading in Yokohama

• 3 morning classes at Yokohama Budokan, and special Dan gradings in the afternoon.

• Meals not included.

  • Accommodation included at Chisun Hotel Yokohama Isezakicho (Optional).

Day 4 Saturday Sept 20th : Demonstrations & Party in Tokyo

• Morning, participants depart Yokohama and self travel to Tokyo (30 min train).

• Demonstrations at Chuo Martial Arts Center.

• Gozo Shioda Memorial Party Marriott Ginza , food/drink included.

• Party fee of JPY16,000 for non-training/seminar guests.

• Other meals and travel not included.

• Accommodation at Youth Education National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (Optional).

Day 5 Sunday Sept 21st : 5 Classes in Tokyo

• 5 Classes at Chuo Martial Arts Center from morning to afternoon. 

• Participants self travel to Chuo Martial Arts Center.

• Meals and travel not included.

• 110th Festival ends after the classes.

  • Accommodation at Youth Education National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (Optional).

Special Accommodations available

Before or after the 110th festival, International travelers are invited to make their own arrangements to stay at Sengenkan Ochiai dojo , the original Honbu dojo in Tokyo. This is being made available to international travelers by special arrangement between Takeshima Sensei and Masahiro Shioda Sensei. Details will be provided to registered international participants only and spaces are limited.

110th Fees

1. Full Program JPY 82,000

2. Full program with single-room, one participant JPY 128,000.

3. SOLD OUT: Full program with twin-room, two participants JPY 236,000.

4. Full program twin-room, one participant & one non-participant, JPY 168,000.
