Takefumi Takeno - 1947 - 2022

Studied primarily with Shioda Sensei, In 1978 he was dispatched to teach aikido at the Metropolitan Police Department.  He conducted kyu and dan exams for female police officers and the security police specialists at the police academy. Additionally, he taught each of the riot police squads on a rotational basis. 

The BrandLaureate, an internationally recognized branding foundation based in Malaysia, awarded Takafumi Takeno Saiko Shihan the Legendary Award of 2015, and the Aikido Yoshinkan organization the Premier Award of 2015.
